Lars lived most of his life in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Though he wasn’t born there. He was born on a farm in the south of the Netherlands. Though his parents couldn’t afford to keep the farm and had to sell it. His parents started to fight, and it ended up in a divorce. That’s when Lars’ father took him away and moved to the big city. His father ended up having a baby with another woman. Emma, his little sister. Though that relationship also didn’t work out, and the woman left with Emma.

Personality:
Lars is not a guy you want to mess with. Being tall, muscular and straight-faced, he often comes across as rather intimidating. He never had a problem with this himself, as it kept away the people he didn’t want to deal with. If those people did approach him, he would usually seem pretty cold. He is very direct in both words and actions to the point people might consider him rude. He doesn’t speak a lot though, only when it’s necessary. In his opinion, actions mean more than words.

The Dutchman is a heavy drinker and can handle a decent amount of alcohol before getting drunk. Besides that he also smokes. This is a habit he acquired after his chosen career stranded. Occasionally he also smokes something different than just a cigarette.

You wouldn’t say it at first, but once you get to know him, he’s a good guy. There aren’t many that get close to him, due to his cold and distant attitude. There aren’t many willing to make the effort to push past his uncaring exterior. But those who manage to get a place in this guy’s heart have a good friend.

What many people wouldn’t expect from him either, is that he has a weak spot for cute things, like animals and young woman. He owns a rabbit called Miffy. As a rather cruel joke, he has nicknamed the bunny ‘Eerste Kerst Avond’, shortened as ‘Eka’. This basically translates to ‘First Christmas Eve’, meaning that the animal would serve as food then. Though Lars wouldn’t be able to actually do that. The rabbit lives in a cage in his apartment, though he often lets her walk around freely.

He can get pretty patriotic and tends to love Dutch things, since they remind him of his home country. For example tulips, windmills and the color orange.

Looks and Appearance:
Lars isn’t an exception to the fact that the Dutch are the tallest of the world. With his 205 centimeters he rises out above all others. His chosen hairstyle also doesn’t help to make him seem any shorter. Due to this, and the often annoyed or uninterested expression on his face, he may come off as rather intimidating.
Lars has light brown hair and green eyes. On his forehead he has a small scar, right above his right eyebrow.
The Dutchman is often seen smoking either a cigarette or a pipe. In the winter he is easily recognizable by a blue and white striped scarf he always seems to be wearing during that time.

Job:
Security guard.

Job History:
His current job isn’t exactly what Lars had planned to be his career. The Dutchman had always been fond of ice skating, and wanted to become a professional. His dad supported him in this in every aspect. Since a young age he entered contests and became better and better. That is, until an unfortunate accident occurred. He didn’t receive much damage except for a knee injury and the scar on his forehead. He recovered fine, but his skating career was over.

Not knowing what else to do with his life, Lars traveled through Europe and eventually moved to America. During his travels he had several jobs at more companies than one could imagine. Though he didn’t stick anywhere for long. Right now he has found a job as a security guard at a museum.

Fears:
- Losing someone he loves. Not a very uncommon fear. But due to the fact that his family was broken apart more than once, Lars hates this even more. This has caused him to get pretty possessive and protective of the people he cares about.

- Lars doesn’t feel comfortable when he has nothing to remind himself of his home country. Dealing with strange cultures can be stressing for him, so it might be considered a fear. He wears a small, silver pendant in the shape of a tulip to stay close to his beloved Netherlands. Lars almost never takes it off, though it is always hidden under his shirt.

Other:
- The relationship between Lars and his sister isn’t as good as it used to be. Lars regrets this, but the siblings haven’t been able to make up yet.

- In his accent you can still hear the ‘soft G’ that the people in the south of the Netherlands talk with. Though it’s probably not as noticeable when he talks in English.

- The story how he got his scar is a rather sensitive subject. I recommend you don’t ask about it.
